Join the Open Art Show, a curated boutique group exhibition bringing together independent and emerging artists at JM Gallery in the heart of Portobello Road, London.

For our next exhibition, we're exploring the theme PLAY.

​

Think fun, curiosity, imagination and experimentation. We’re looking for artwork that embraces a sense of play, doesn’t take itself too seriously, or invites people to look at the world differently. Whether you interpret PLAY through colour, humour, materials, movement, nostalgia, childhood, games or something completely unexpected, we want to see what PLAY means to you.

We know exhibiting can feel daunting, so we’ll provide everything you need.

Choose how you want to exhibit

1. LARGE wall piece - £99

One piece up to 100cm x 100cm (including frame). Must be ready to hang.

2. MEDIUM wall piece - £66

One piece up to 30 x 42cm (A3, including frame).

3. Surface display - £88
(Single Piece or Set)

Up to L30cm × W30cm x H50cm.
⚠️ Items need to be ready to display. You are responsible for supplying any stands/ trays. See info pack for examples.

Since 2024, the Open Art Show has been showcasing diverse contemporary artworks and creating opportunities for emerging artists. Each biannual exhibition has featured over 80 talented artists in locations from Notting Hill to Chancery Lane, attracting art enthusiasts, collectors, and buyers.

 

Many exhibitors have sold their work at the show and gone on to launch successful careers in the London art scene. Attendees consistently praise the event for being inclusive, accessible, and first-time artist friendly, making it a must-visit destination for anyone looking to buy original contemporary art in London.

Open Art Shop

Our first-ever pop-up shop was at JM Gallery on the iconic Portobello Road in 2026. One of London’s most famous and vibrant cultural destinations, right in the heart of Notting Hill.

 

The Open Art Shop is an exciting initiative by Open Art Spaces, designed to showcase independent, contemporary artists and makers in a professional retail environment.

 

Our aim is to create an accessible, welcoming space where visitors can discover and buy original pieces directly from emerging and established creatives, in a high-traffic location with excellent visibility.
